What is Tarnish?

Tarnish is the oxidation of silver jewelry, manifesting as a dull, grey, or black film on the surface. While tarnish is a form of corrosion, it doesn't damage the underlying metal as rust does. The tarnished layer actually provides a protective barrier for the silver beneath.

Causes of Tarnish

Complete protection from tarnish is impossible because silver reacts with many everyday substances such as food, fluids (including tap water), cosmetics, and even clothing. Tarnish can be accelerated by exposure to chlorine, acidic components, perfume, and hairspray. Oils from your skin can also contribute to oxidation, as can the mild chemicals in sweat, especially when combined with warmth and air. As tarnish develops through a chemical reaction with airborne elements, silver transitions from a shiny surface to a yellow sheen, and eventually to black if left untreated.

Avoiding Tarnish

While preventing tarnish entirely isn't possible, you can slow its development. Wipe down your silver jewelry after each use to retard the tarnishing process. Avoid wearing silver jewelry while washing dishes, bathing, or preparing food, and steer clear of contact with wool, rubber, and latex items.

To initiate an exchange or refund, please visit our returns portal.

We offer exchanges or refunds within 21 days of purchase, including items bought on sale or with a promotion code. All returns must include a copy of your proof of purchase. The cost of return labels is the buyer's responsibility, which will be deducted from the original payment amount.

All items are inspected upon delivery. Customers will be notified within 2 days of receiving the returned items if the return or exchange is rejected due to unsatisfactory condition. Please ensure your items are returned in a new and unused condition and in their original packaging to process an exchange or refund.

Non-Returnable Items:

Engraved items are non-returnable and non-refundable.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on earrings for hygiene reasons.

Processing Your Refund

Upon receipt of returned items, the credit or debit card used for the original purchase will be credited with the cost of the goods, minus delivery charges (exceptions may apply). We will process your refund within 7 days of receipt. Your credit card company may take 4-7 working days to credit your account. Please note that we can only credit the original payment method and cannot issue a refund to an alternative account.

Processing Your Exchange

Upon receipt of your items, exchanges will be processed within 4-7 days if the requested exchange item is in stock. If the requested item is not in stock, a gift card will be issued unless the customer requests otherwise.
